Robert Di Stasio, Jr. worked with C-H activation and mechanistic work involving rhenium. He is also involved in method development, particularly in the development of new DFT functionals.

Robert joined the group in 2003 as a chemistry graduate student. He was previously at the University of Georgia, where he worked with Prof. Fritz Schaefer. He earned his B.S. in chemistry at Portland State. In 2004 he transfered to Berkeley to pursue a graduate degree under under Prof Head-Martin.
